St. Jude researchers have identified an inherited variation in the NUDT15 gene that is strongly associated with a low tolerance for a drug that is a mainstay of pediatric ALL treatment.

Among the research institutions NCI funds across the United States, it currently designates 68 as Cancer Centers.
